After graduating, he spent seven years as a pastor in Germany before embarking on his ministry in Africa in 1967. It was in Africa that he became widely recognized, primarily known for his preaching in Lesotho and organizing evangelical gatherings throughout the continent.
Upon hearing the resounding voice of God exclaiming, “Africa Shall Be Saved,” he was consumed with a profound purpose. This divine encounter was accompanied by a recurring dream, presenting a vivid image of the African map, propelling him towards a grand mission of evangelism on a massive scale. Despite encountering limited support from local churches, he remained undeterred in his preaching endeavors. Determined to make an impact, he took the initiative to rent a stadium in Gaborone, where, over time, the size of the gatherings swelled, igniting a spark of transformation.
In 1974, he established the mission organization ‘Christ For All Nations,’ with its headquarters initially located in Johannesburg, South Africa. However, in 1986, the headquarters were moved to Frankfurt, Germany. Currently, his organization maintains nine offices spread across five continents.

In 2017, Mr. Bonnke declared his ‘farewell gospel crusade,’ attracting a staggering 6 million attendees. In 2019, he was invited to be the main speaker at the G12 Africa Conference held in Pretoria, South Africa.
