Career / Fashion And Style
Jeffery Epstein began his professional journey by taking up a teaching position at the Dalton School. During his time there, he forged a significant relationship with a parent of one of his students, namely Alan Greenberg, who happened to be the CEO of Bear Stearns. Alan was highly impressed by Epstein’s adeptness in handling numbers, which led him to offer Epstein a position as his assistant at Bear Stearns in the year 1976.
After that, he rapidly progressed in his career, eventually offering guidance to some of the most affluent clients of the company. In 1981, he departed from the company and founded his own financial consulting firm called Intercontinental Assets Group Inc (IAG). Through this firm, he aided clients in recovering funds that had been stolen, as well as providing assistance to those who had committed embezzlement.
During that time, he started informing his friends and coworkers about his job as an intelligence agent. Since he had connections with influential businessmen involved in transactions with different governments, along with his frequent trips abroad in the mid-1980s, it suggested that there might be truth to his assertion.
In 1987, he began offering advice to a company named Tower Financial Corporation, which specialized in collecting debts. However, this company turned out to be involved in a fraudulent scheme, known as a Ponzi scheme, where investors were misled about the true nature of their investments. This scheme ultimately resulted in losses of hundreds of millions of dollars. He played a significant role in orchestrating this deceitful scheme, but managed to avoid facing any consequences. He departed from Tower a few years prior to its collapse in 1993, managing to avoid being implicated in the ensuing legal fallout.
He grew his collection of investments to encompass a wider range, adding more media companies, working on funding securities, and putting money into hedge funds and startups. Additionally, he established his own charitable foundation called the Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation, through which he generously donated millions to various institutions such as Harvard University.
