Career / Fashion And Style
Throughout his career, he has taken on various occupations, including working as a truck driver and serving as a bouncer. In 2017, he embarked on a new path as a security guard at The Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Center. Following this, he transitioned to a security guard position at a restaurant. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic regulations, he faced job loss in 2020.
On May 25th, 2020, he was apprehended for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill when purchasing cigarettes at a grocery store located in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood of Minneapolis.
The store clerk promptly contacted the police, and during the arrest, one of the officers, Derek Chauvin, applied excessive force by placing his knee on Floyd’s neck for approximately nine minutes. When the emergency medical team arrived, they attended to Floyd and transferred him onto a stretcher. Sadly, Floyd was unresponsive prior to the arrival of the medical team and tragically passed away at the scene.
