In 2014, Hwasa embarked on her musical journey as a member of the South Korean girl group “Mamamoo.” During this time, she demonstrated her songwriting and composition skills with the track “My Heart/I do me” from the same EP. Fast forward to April 2018, Hwasa made a notable appearance on the KBS reality television show “Hyena on the Keyboard.” This appearance was marked by her collaboration with rapper Loco on the track titled “Don’t.”

She actively contributed to both the writing and composition of the song, leading it to achieve the top position on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart. In her solo artist debut, she released the digital single “Twit,” for which she played a key role in its writing and composition.
