Chahar embarked on his cricketing journey in 2016, representing Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy. Subsequently, on February 25, 2017, he made his mark in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, contributing to Rajasthan’s success.
In 2017, the Rising Pune Supergiant Team signed him to join their IPL squad, securing his services for a price of Rs 10 Lakh. Impressed by his remarkable bowling and fielding abilities, the Mumbai Indians franchise later acquired him during the auction.
