In 2005, he embarked on a professional boxing career, showcasing his skills by triumphing over Miguel Vazquez and Francisco Villanueva in thrilling matches. It was on August 31, 2007, that he claimed his inaugural professional title, the ‘Jalisco welterweight title,’ after a victorious bout against Ricardo Caho.
He continued his remarkable winning streak, securing and defending the NABF welterweight title multiple times. In 2009, he claimed victory over Russian boxer Marat Khuzeev, earning the WBC Youth welterweight title.
