Fatima Ali began her culinary journey as a junior sous chef at Café Centro, a renowned establishment in New York City. She showcased her exceptional talent on the Food Network in 2012 when she emerged victorious in an episode of Chopped. Fatima’s culinary prowess led her to further success in the city, where she achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the youngest executive sous chef at Stella 34 Trattoria, located in Macy’s Herald Square. She later assumed the role of executive sous chef at La Fonda del Sol, solidifying her position as a rising star in the culinary world.
Fatima Ali, a contestant on Top Chef Colorado in 2017, captured the hearts of the audience and was chosen as the crowd favorite, despite finishing seventh. Unfortunately, after her Top Chef journey, Fatima Ali received a diagnosis of Ewing’s sarcoma. In January 2018, she underwent surgery at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre.
