The case against Kapurus is linked to Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) due to allegations of loans provided by the bank to the company becoming non-performing assets. Officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have stated that their investigation is focusing on a loan of Rs 600 crore extended by DHFL to one of its units.
Following the ED’s actions, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is gearing up to take action against Rana Kapoor in connection with the Yes Bank scam. The CBI is actively preparing to initiate its inquiry, maintaining communication with the finance ministry, RBI, and ED. Additionally, the CBI team held discussions with ED officials on Saturday.
